After Mark "Barney" Greenway left Napalm Death, he set up a project with Rob Engvikson, originally with Carl Stokes (Cancer) on drums, then Danny Herrera instead (Napalm Death). The band never saw the light of day after Greenway rejoined Napalm Death.
The band has now changed its name to Danelaw: the reason for this is because the band was always supposed to be about Vikings, their way of life, their adventures & achievements, and everything else about Vikings, and Rob felt that the name Ásatrú did stear quite a few people into thinking the band was about the religion itself.
Werendia is the project of A.Virdeus and it is a homage to his home region of Värend in Småland.
