"Umzac" is a word in Chibcha (the language spoken by the Muiscas, the native peoples from the central highlands of Colombia) that can be roughly translated into "darkness".
They are musically inspired in traditional Colombian rhythms such as Bambuco and Pasillo whereas their lyrical themes deal with ancient Muisca mythology.
