Rauta is a Finninsh Progressive Folk Metal act that formed 2002 but started writing material in late 2003. The band's members now include Rauno Lahti - vocals // Laura Airola - violin, nyckelharpa // Kerttu Ahola - accordion // Aki Hauru - guitar // Tuomo Kuure - bass // Jussi Miettola - drums. The band released a self-titled demo in 2004, followed by their debut album in 2007. Members of Rauta state that their lyrics can be described as "nature influenced, with a strong presence of Finnish folklore."
