Jötunheimr (Old Icelandic for "World of the Ettins/Giants", plural Jötunheimar) is, according to both the Poetic, the Prose Edda and Skaldic Poetry, the abode of the Jötnar ("Ettin/Giant", singular Jötunn). It was originally thought to be situated in the East, but in later Icelandic Sagas, its location has moved in the North.
Jotunheim also appeared on the compilation "Manifesto Of Subterranean Obscurity" with the track "Det Slutgiltiga", released by the Swedish label Scythe of Death Productions.
