After internal tensions in the band Negură Bunget, Edmond Karban and Cristian Popescu left the band to form Dordeduh, while drummer Gabriel Mafa continued Negură Bunget with new musicians.

Dordeduh comes from three Romanian words, annexed together. "Dor de duh" means "Longing for spirit".

Featured on Enslaved's tribute Önd - A Tribute double CD (Pictonian - 2012), covering the song "Ruun".
