Formed in summer 2006. In the very beginning, the band was "playing 'normal' death metal with black metal influences". Nine months after Delirium was formed, founding member Sascha had to leave the band for illness-related reasons and the band was forced to play as a quartet for some time. Half a year later, Steffen filled his place on second guitar. It was at this point that the band shifted to their current pagan metal style focusing on Franconia's history and Nordic mythology. In early 2009 Marco left the band as he had to make time for his job. The band's first demo was recorded without a bass player in August that year before Björn took over bass duties in October. They call their style "Franconian pagan metal".

The band is part of the Speerwall Frankonia together with Hroptatyr & Thormesis.
