Ceridwen was created by Valentyn Koval and Uliano Giovannetti in 2009.

The band initially went on hiatus in 2010.
In 2015, the band reunited and started rehearsals again with new members, with Valentyn and Davide being the only members left from the original line-up.

Even though Davide Cremaschi had been the permanent drummer after the reunion, he wasn't active from late 2016 to early 2017 from late 2016 to early 2017 so they asked Christian to take his place for that period of time.
