Aes and Aes Dana: The word in Old Irish for "people" or "folk". Aes Dana, means the people of the gift. The skilled men of early Irish society, whose hereditary or demonstrated skills in law, medicine, history, music, masonry, carpentry, metalwork - but primarily in poetic composition.

Not to be confused with the ambient/neoclassical band with the same name.
